How to Pose like a Pro

How to Pose like a Pro

Posing for a photo can be tough. Trust us we're in the business of taking photos (insert emoji sweating face here). So to hand over the knowledge we're accumulated with working with some of the best in the biz, here's a how to pose like pro starting guide featuring @hbgoodie.

Tip #1: Movement is key! One of the biggest mistakes models make (or anyone in front of the camera for that matter) is to get stagnant in their movement. Everything stops looking natural and starts looking stale when there isn't constant movement. The best way we've found to maintain movement is to slowly shift your weight back and forth with constant deliberate movements. Another way is just walking! Anyone can walk! Ha!

Tip #2: Use a prop! Have you ever been taking photos and thought, "what the hell do I do with my hands!". If you have you're not alone. Photos have the remarkable effect of making you forget what your hands usually do or even what they're for. You can solve this problem with a prop. We suggest something edible :).

Tip #3: Be adventurous! Sometimes the weirdest movements can become your favorite poses and photos! Try defying gravity, throwing an object into the air, or sitting upside down. Sometimes the crazier the better.
